This year’s Selangor Open attracted 3 Grand Masters, 5 International Masters and a number of titled players. It could the strongest Selangor Open to my best knowledge. It has close to 20 foreign players in the Open section and around 10 in the Challenger section. It is the ‘Oldest Chess Tournament in Malaysia Certified by Malaysia Book of Records’
I survived an earlier scare and managed to score full point in round 1 and will be playing IM Emmanuel Senador of PHI in round 2. With close to 350 points a part in rating the possibilities of winning is 0.882934604125682!
So I am just going to sit back and enjoy the game.
