When I want to write this topic, I try to find a definition of ‘Miniature’ and to
my surprises, there is no fixed definition! In chess forums, there will be
different ideas and conditions for a game to be called as ‘Miniature’.
So, I just use my own encounters in my years of chess to have my own definition:
1. Short games with 20 moves or less.
2. Some kinds of tactic or combinations
3. A decisive outcome or at least winning advantages (force draw included)
4. Games that you enjoy playing over and over again.
One good example is Murphy’s Opera Game!
So a ‘Mini-miniature’ will be a game that is shorter than Miniature and in my opinion it will be a game with 10 moves or less.
I want to share with you 3 Mini Miniatures that I played at the chess24.com your playground
